SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS

School board elections are happening today across the state!
School board elections may not always get a lot of attention, but they shape what happens in our local schools every day—from budgets to policies to leadership.
Important:
When you return your ballot, make sure to sign the return envelope and include your birthdate next to your signature. Ballots without this information may not be counted.
Why School Board Elections Matters To Native Communities
- Decisions impact how Native students are supported in school
- Influence whether Native culture, history, and language are included
- Affect funding for programs, transportation, and student services
- Shape school policies that impact Native families and communities
- Help ensure Native voices are represented in local education decisions

These decisions affect everything from classroom resources to student support and community priorities.
Please take time to:
- Check your voter registration
- If you mailed your ballot and it has to reached the election office yet, ask for a replacement ballot and vote!

- You can still register to vote on election day until 12 noon.
