At Western Native Voice, we believe the future of our communities lies in the strength and potential of our young people—and that future begins now. Native youth make up more than 20% of the Indigenous population, yet far too many lack access to the leadership development, mentorship, and culturally relevant opportunities they need to thrive. That’s why we’re making a bold, long-term investment in youth programming designed to empower the next generation of Native leaders.

Through initiatives like Expanding Horizons, the Youth Leadership Academy, and our statewide Youth Board, we’re equipping young people with the tools to lead in their communities, advocate for the issues they care about, and connect deeply with their culture. These programs don’t just teach civic engagement—they build identity, confidence, and purpose. We’ve already seen powerful results: Native youth organizing around mental health awareness, protecting cultural traditions, and even shaping legislation like Montana’s Regalia Bill.

We know that Native youth are not just tomorrow’s leaders but now leaders. They’re stepping up, speaking out, and making a difference. By investing in them today, we’re building stronger, healthier, and more self-determined Native communities for generations.

Together, let’s continue to uplift and support the voices of our youth. They are ready—and we’re standing with them every step of the way.
