Without the help of dedicated volunteers, Western Native Voice would not be able to reach and support all seven reservations communities and urban communities.
At Western Native Voice, our work relies heavily on the passion and dedication of volunteers who help us reach and support communities across all seven Montana reservations and urban areas. Without the support of individuals like you, we wouldn’t be able to accomplish our mission of creating a brighter future for Native communities.
Why Your Help Matters
We need volunteers to help us meet our goals, expand leadership, and fight for equality and justice. From registering and mobilizing voters to holding elected officials accountable, there are many ways you can contribute to our efforts. Volunteering ensures that Native voices are heard in critical decision-making, from local elections to national policy discussions. It is our collective responsibility to protect our land, water, children, and elders—and to ensure the leaders we elect prioritize Native issues when drafting policy.
Volunteer Roles
There are many ways to get involved, no matter your experience level or available time. Volunteering is a great way to actively engage with your community and advocate for causes you care about.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Be a Voice in Your Community: Advocate for Native issues and engage fellow community members to take action.
- Phone Banking & Outreach: Help us reach voters by calling friends, family, and neighbors to encourage voter registration and turnout.
- Voter Transportation: Drive voters to the polls on Election Day and during early voting at election offices on reservations.
- Research & Advocacy: Research important issues impacting Native communities, write letters to the editor, and track local and state policies.
- Attend Debates and Forums: Represent our community by attending candidate forums and debates, voicing concerns, and asking questions.
- Support Office Operations: Assist with administrative tasks, including organizing materials, stuffing envelopes, and helping with event logistics.
- Join in our efforts to ensure we get a record voter turnout.
