This Work is Powered By Community
This work is powered by community members who understand that participation is about more than a single moment. It reflects a shared responsibility to family, community, land, and future generations. Through civic education, leadership development, and year-round engagement, volunteers and local leaders strengthen Native voices across reservation and urban communities in Montana.
Why Your Help Matters
You know your community best. When you step forward, you take responsibility for the change you want to see. Western Native Voice works alongside you to support local leadership and ensure community voices shape the decisions that matter.
Volunteer Roles
There are many ways to get involved, no matter your experience level or available time. Volunteering is a great way to actively engage with your community and advocate for causes you care about.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Be a Voice in Your Community: Advocate for Native issues and engage fellow community members to take action.
- Phone Banking & Outreach: Help us reach voters by calling friends, family, and neighbors to encourage voter registration and turnout.
- Voter Transportation: Drive voters to the polls on Election Day and during early voting at election offices on reservations.
- Research & Advocacy: Research important issues impacting Native communities, write letters to the editor, and track local and state policies.
- Attend Debates and Forums: Represent our community by attending candidate forums and debates, voicing concerns, and asking questions.
- Support Office Operations: Assist with administrative tasks, including organizing materials, stuffing envelopes, and helping with event logistics.
- Join in our efforts to ensure we get a record voter turnout.
