Expanding Horizons is a student-driven, Western Native Voice (WNV) steered program, which brings together high school students from across Montana to champion the preservation of tribal identity and culture and foster relationships between tribal and urban Native Americans.

Our Programs
We bring together high school students from across Montana to champion the preservation of tribal identity and culture while creating leaders through our four programs of civic education, leadership development, civic engagement, and public policy advocacy.

Yearly Events
Youth Capitol Experience
Students have a front-row seat during the Montana Legislative session in Helena while learning about the state legislature, how to provide testimony, and the making and passing of bills.
Summer Youth Camp
This two-week camp provides students with a first-hand experience of college and dorm life while going through Expanding Horizon’s four programs.
Mid-Winter Conference
This three-day conference includes networking opportunities, motivational speakers, cultural activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
